Why we’re here
Doing What Others Won’t.
That’s our motto at Bespoke Guardians, and it describes our work. Over eight years in the UK we’ve built a team of 235 full-time staff across five services, caring for children with complex needs, the ones others find hard to support, to place, and to deliver outcomes for.
We’re establishing Bespoke Guardians in Alberta now, and we’re building the team that will do that work here. We want people who’ll show up for young people with complex needs, whatever they’re doing today, and we’ll train them for the rest.
A care company is only ever as good as the people in it. That’s why we’re starting with the team, and meeting people face to face rather than through a portal.

Who we’re looking for
You don’t need care experience. You need the right attitude.
We’ll train you for the job. What we can’t train is mentality: turning up when it’s hard, staying calm when a young person is at their worst, and not taking it personally. If you’ve got that, come and talk to us whatever you’re doing now.
Team Leader
Runs the shift and holds the standard. You’ll support the workers on the floor, make the call when something changes, and make sure nothing important gets missed.
Supervisor
Accountable for a service and the people in it: rotas, quality, safeguarding and developing your team. A step up for someone ready to lead.

Yes. As well as the main day on Tuesday 17 November (10am to 6pm), there’s an early-morning session on Wednesday 18 November from 7am to 10am, for people who can’t get away during the day. Tell us on the form which suits you best. Both run the same presentation and the same chance to talk to our team.
No, and that’s on purpose. The open day is about meeting each other properly, not sitting a formal interview. You’ll get the briefing and a proper chat with our team, and you can ask us anything about the job. You’ll hear back from us either way, and formal interviews follow shortly after.
No. We’ll train you for the job. What we’re looking for is mentality: reliability, patience, and the sort of person who doesn’t walk away when a young person is testing whether you will. Plenty of our best people came from something completely different.
No care qualification. Working with children and youth isn’t a regulated profession in Alberta, so there’s no licence or diploma you must hold before you start, and we train you from day one. What you do need: to be 18 or over; a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (we’ll give you the employer letter you need to request it); a Child Intervention Record Check through Alberta Children’s Services; Standard First Aid and CPR Level C (we can help you get this); a valid Class 5 driver’s licence, as the role involves transporting young people; and two work references, one of them a former manager. Start the police check early, it’s usually about two weeks but can take longer if fingerprints are needed. Don’t let that stop you registering, we’ll walk you through it.
Yes. These roles are for people already living in Alberta and eligible to work in Canada.
